Congratulations to our bursary winners!
The NLS8 organising committee are happy to announce three bursaries have been awarded for the 2017 New Librarians’ Symposium.
Nathan Sentance (Wiradjuri/NSW) has been awarded the NLS8 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Bursary, sponsored by the NLS8 organising committee.
Kylie Burgess (QLD) and Jess McDonald-Norman (NSW) have been awarded a student bursary each, sponsored by the International Librarians Network (ILN) and Mylee Joseph.
Congratulations Nathan, Kylie and Jess! We look forward to seeing you in Canberra. And a big thank you to Mylee Joseph and the ILN for sponsoring the student bursaries.
Our friends at the ALIA New Generation Advisory Committee offered a bursary to attend NLS8. Congratulations to Liz Finlay (ACT) for winning the bursary. See you soon in Canberra!
New generation students and information professionals were invited to create a record of their thoughts – in any format – about where the Library and Information world will be in 2037. ALIA NGAC chose Liz’s entry of a knitted hat representing the semantic web as their favourite entry.
Liz’s hat will be included in a time capsule, to be opened on ALIA’s 100th birthday.
